You realize that people will simply avoid any kind of mental health treatment if they know that because they are prescribed a Valium or Xanax they lose their 2nd amendment rights. Absolutely correct, plus you rapidly get into the issue of anyone else in your household who has ever been on any of these meds. Also, your and your family medical records under Obamacare are going to end us being used by law enforcement to confiscate your guns, etc. This more than a slippery slope. It is a wholesale license for mass abrogation of the 2nd Amendment.

This is a disaster for mental health, as well. That depressed farmed who just lost his wife will not seek treatment for depression for fear that the government will take his weapons.
Not seeking treatment may actually INCREASE the number of suicides by gun.
