Senator, I respectfully submit that more citizens need to stand up for our God-given rights, or indeed, they will be lost. And stand, they will, if the US Congress fails to uphold their oaths to the Constitution in this matter.

The chief problem I have is that nothing in this legislation would have prevented the terrible massacre in Newtown, Connecticut.

This is truly the crux of the matter.

Not a damn thing proposed now or in recent history would prevent this. This is proof, in the most basic and fundamental way of deriving truth, that the Newtown massacre is being used for the sole purpose of infringing on the rights of law abiding gun owners.

Our population is so brain dead that they can't see the forest for the trees.

I just sent an email to my senator John Cornyn asking him to join Cruz and Paul and the others. He and I go back many years. He saved my butt when a Democrat DA tried to get me removed as Judge of the Early Voting Ballot Board. That went all the way to Cornyn’s office as he was our State Attorney General at that time. I knew I was right, and Cornyn’s opinion sealed it that I was right and could be that judge. I mentioned that in my email and hope that will push him some to join the others.

On one hand, I'm happy my two senators, Crapo and Risch, have joined Sen. Paul in the filibuster effort. But on the other, I'm dang near livid the rest haven't signed on. I understand Insane McCain and Limp-Wristed Lindsey not helping, but the rest need to be thrown out on their a**es next time they're up for election, by competent primary opponents.
