My guess is that they almost got away with it because they’re wealthy enough to afford the best lawyers and/or have lots of political connections.
They should be shot in the public square. Using an AR-15 with a "standard capacity" magazine.
Maybe the person granting the waiver was acting with good will and perhaps not. Whomever it is needs to be investigated as well. There may be other families like that one.
