OK, if they're not essential for sequestation purposes, they're not essential EVER. Abolish the unit and reassigne the personnel & equipment. This could be yet another feather in Obama's cap.

How could we possibly have those brave, patriotic, dedicated, and professional young men and women out there showing off their incredible talent, skill, and ability — Talent, skill, and ability only possible through countless hours of hard work, dedication, and precision — They are everything their commander-in-chief is not. Jealously is an ugly thing, why would he want to be reminded or have American’s reminded that there are incredible American’s out their capable of such amazing feats when he can’t accomplish one promise he ran on. Now is not the time to remind American’s about “our” greatness...No, not now, not while unemployment is at 14.3% (real number), 47,772,108 American’s on food stamps, 16 trillion dollars of debt, and our present_dent is managing America’s decline (President Decline). Some young man or woman might have actually attended an air show and been witness to the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds greatness and considered the military as a possibility for the bleak future. Now, instead, they may just become one of the unemployed, food stamp takers. Great job ba’rock...of all the things you could cut...you picked cutting greatness — Loser.

We are going to need that money to pay for food stamps for the illegal aliens who are about to get amnesty.

So no Superbowl or NASCAR flyovers. We have to plant the idea that at one of these events, when the flyover does not happen, we all chant “No Flyover Obama’s Fault”.

That’s exactly right.

Obama loathes America.

Apologies, but when was it decided that the government needed to be involved with air shows? I’m as big a fan of the Blue Angels as anyone, but we’re broke, and air shows aren’t vital IMO.

They are incredibly impressive, but also incredibly expensive. Especially considering the miniscule portion of the population that attend Air Shows each year. Paint them Haze Grey and put them back on Carriers where they belong.

I think it would be far more effective to have a small plane tow a giant banner with that message.

Am I wrong?

Yeah but then you need permits and money and an airplane and...but an excellent idea.

It can’t be very difficult or expensive.

The local Catholic college (2000 students) usually has one at their football games. And the stadium is right under the flight path for the Indianapolis airport.

We should also ground AF1 and AF2 for all but absolutely essential government reasons. Also cut back on SS for family protection to only the WH and girls’ school, and travel within the District of Columbia.

So what part of the federal budget is vital, in your opinion?

Those items specifically spelled out in the constitution and that’s it...

I agree. The military has no business doing “public relations”. I include the Thunderbirds, Golden Knights, and all of the Old Guard except for those guarding the Tomb of the Unknowns. The US Military should also do away with bands and any of the silly ritualistic crap, like change-of-command parades, etc.

Times are tight.... we should only be paying for what is absolutely necessary.

I’d say that one trip to Hawaii on AF1 would pay for at least five angels shows.
