Correct me if I’m wrong - but doesn’t a filibuster actually continue the debate? Stopping the filibuster means closing debate and calling for the vote, does it not?

Have your stinking debate, you weasels! Just have it without closing the debate to everyone else. “We need to have this debate” is practiced Prog-speak for “let’s vote on it, impose OUR will on the people, and let the people debate it (unarmed)”.

Of course, filibusters extend debate NOT stop it nor do they STOP votes!

When dims/RINOs use the "cloture (meaning you must have 60 yeas to stop debate)" and call for vote, it's called "cloture" not "filibuster" thereby claiming that only the "GOP prevents voting."

Think of what we would NOT have if "cloture" were not reached as in accepting Kerry, Hagel, when RINOs and others like Rand Paul, claimed they didn't want to stop the vote, just filibuster yet went on to vote FOR him!

What hypocrites!
