We have never invested as much in public education as we should have because weve always had a private notion of children, your kid is yours and totally your responsibility.
We havent had a very collective notion of these are our children.
So part of it is we have to break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents or kids belong to their families and recognize that kids belong to whole communities.
Once its everybodys responsibility and not just the households we start making better investments.

Someone should as her how “community ownership” has worked out in other areas, such as parks and other properties. She is running off the illusion that more people will take care of the kids. Human nature tells me that most people will say: “That kid is someone else’s problem. Let them take care of him.” After which, the kid is neglected.
By “community” she really means herself. She wants direct control of the children so she can indoctrinate them properly into Marxism, since the irresponsible parents are obviously not doing it...

lol - how much should we spend? 15K per kid? 20K per kid? 50K per kid? How much is enough?
IMO, we spend too much already and on things that do nothing to educate, only indoctrinate.
