I think the problem with "The Purpose Driven Life" is that God's purpose for us is not always clear.

God walks us out onto a plank and says jump.

We do not understand His purpose...

He demands our obedience... not our comprehension of his purpose for us.

I suggest a reading of Oswald Chambers to cleanse the palate of those who suggest we serve His purpose.
