“Big brother is certainly expanding the scope of their tracking of information on all of us.”

Went in to buy a fishing license yesterday at Walmart. They refused to sell me one because I wouldn’t give them my unlisted home phone number. I showed my drivers license, as requested.

So, according to NYS I must have a phone in order to buy a fishing license. “Screw that”, I said and walked out.

Interesting circumstance. Much like my “walking away” from flying anywhere when the government started their TSA.
Leaves the question, how much can we continue to “walk away” from? How far must we go?

Do like the illegals do and just say, (555) 987-6543 or make up one...lol

If you think that’s bad you ought to see auto loan credit apps from the ghetto. A complete work of fiction on every level. They have their auntie’s confirming their “employment”, all their addresses are family members, their SSNs are bought, etc..., etc...

Interesting story.

The last time I had to present my phone number in a situation like that, I simply gave them a number that I had when I lived in a different area of the state more than a decade earlier.

“They refused to sell me one because I wouldn’t give them my unlisted home phone number.”

Home-depot wanted my birth date to make a purchase the other day. I told them I didn’t know because I was adopted from a Czechoslovakian orphanage and there were no records. In the end, I gave them a phony date...

What's hard about that?

Give them one - ANY one - and the clerk will be happy!

I guess that if you don’t have a phone, you can’t buy a fishing lisc.

Actually, the IRS uses computers to compare the actions and behaviors of people. IT them compares them to a number of standards. If your personal behavior is unusual, you WILL BE TARGETED for an audit.

Odd behavior will become illegal. having a pet chicken, for instance. Reading about the habits and fashion of the ancient sumerians, or any other odd, out of the norm behavior will be tracked and flagged. Do not think that this will not happen. It will, because the USA government is now in the business of health. So they will , can and have, specify that you have odd behaviors and are thus prone to dangerous behavior.

There is one solution to all the ills that the USA finds itself in. OVERTURN the 16th amendment. JUST DO IT. It is the right, and just and obvious solution. But it is the elephant in the room that no one is talking about.

I walked out of a deal a couple days ago at a store for the same reason. I see no reason for phone numbers to be demanded for any of these things.
