If we are tracking it and really believe it is an EMP weapon in waiting, we should try to get it before they deorbit. It is certainly being tracked. What is lacking AFAIK, is any sort of ASAT capability other than the stuff stationed on the coasts. That is missile oriented, not anti-satellite.
I think we scrapped all our good stuff years ago, like the spiffy one launched from a F-15 at high Mach and high altitude. Must not offend the commies, who no doubt kept their toys...........
All this assumes Zero gives a damn, and that he would not welcome the chaos to play into his schemes..........

We could always ask our good friend China, which has an orbital anti-sat weapon, to help us out.

The F15 ASAT performed nicely. Zero doesn't give a damn. He trashed all the Future Combat Systems contracts. They were delivering good technology. My contracts got canceled too. The money lavished on green energy boondoggles would have kept those programs functioning. Instead, they were canceled and the boondoggles are declaring bankruptcy with nothing to show for all the money wasted.
