B-1 is not as sexy as the Stealth planes, but it is a ground hugging munitions delivery horse.

The view of and vibration from one of them making a night take-off with the power poured on is awesome. Absolutely awesome power. I have seen them under those circumstances at Dyess.

And they can carry the payload.

During the time they were stationed at McConnell AFB in Wichita, it was quite common to hear the thunderous rumbling of the B1’s playing with their afterburners on takeoff. You could hear it miles and miles away.
