.....>It is believed that North Korea cannot mobilize their army because of parts shortages and fuel issues.<....

I’ve understood that as well....

Additionally they hope to terrify their people enough to keep them in check,....much of the military personel is undernourished and have defected when possible. I read long while back before thes recent happenings, the soldiers were compalaining because they had to grow their own food.

So the more propaganda out there that makes it look like war and pictures Kim as tough..the better they get their message across to the Military and the Korean people.

Eventually he’ll make it look like he brought a peaceful solution to these events...a triumph for him.

...Truman stopped MacArthur from freeing ALL of Korea.

Well, the Chinese had already pretty much put an end to that before Truman fired him

Macarthur had said it was impossible for China to invade Korea.  After China did just that, Mac said it would be impossible to retake So. Korea without first nuking China.  Wrong again, but the big problem was that he then disobeyed a direct order to stay clear of the press.  Truman had no choice but to send in Ridgeway to clean up the mess.

Half their mortars are pieces of junk that won’t fire or will malfunction after 1 fire, etc. This “rain of fire upon Seoul” is mostly hyperbole, although there would no doubt be some destruction.

Basic military air traffic communication is in the clear. If you know the right frequencies, you can monitor a lot of military air traffic. It’s a hobby for one of my friends

Another cool B1 feature. High speed, low altitude approach using its Terrain Following (TF) capability, in lieu of using stealth technology...

Hank is worried that all those bombers will cause Guam to tip over.

I was near the flight line seeing them do night take off throttled up burners in.

Taught night classes there during 2 summers, some time back. Really like the people I had in class. Enjoyed the experience.

China wants a B-1, so as a thank you for all the debt they've loaned him, Barry will cause one to have "technical difficulties" and be forced to land in China, much like Bush lost a spy plane to China before 9/11.

MacArthur deliberately ignored warnings and good evidence the Chinese were in North Korea in force. Similar to how he lost his air force on the ground in the Philippines hours after Pearl Harbor.

Most overrated general in US history.

And the North Koreans would have collapsed (and Pusan was already out of danger) without the Inchon landings, that was a lot less important than it is portrayed.

"...I don’t know why they would deploy the B-1.One of our subs could smoke the whole miserable country before breakfast....."

Intimidation factor, maybe. You can't see a sub...but there's no mistaking a B-1 flying overhead.

Case in point, check out this B-1B high speed flyby vid from Afghanistan. The concept and image of a supersonic bomber that looks & flies like a huge swept-wing fighter jet is just super cool.

The “Bones” were part of the strike package that hit Tripoli and Misrata on 16APR86 along with our three aircraft carriers and their airwings.
