Soldiers in the U.S. military have been told in a training briefing that evangelical Christians are the No. 1 extremist threat to America – ahead of groups like the Muslim Brotherhood, KKK, Nation of Islam, al-Qaida, Hamas and others.
“Men and women of faith who have served the Army faithfully for centuries shouldn’t be likened to those who have regularly threatened the peace and security of the United States,” said Col. (Ret.) Ron Crews, executive director of the Chaplain Alliance for Religious Liberty. “It is dishonorable for any U.S. military entity to allow this type of wrongheaded characterization. It also appears that some military entities are using definitions of ‘hate’ and ‘extreme’ from the lists of anti-Christian political organizations. That violates the apolitical stance appropriate for the military.”
The briefing, which was given to an Army reserve unit in Pennsylvania, came from a U.S. Army Reserve Equal Opportunity training brief titled “Extremism and Extremist Organizations.”
The material mentions neo-Nazis, the KKK and other white supremacist organizations. Pictures are shown on various slides of people in Klan attire and Nazi flags. The significance of gang tattoos, and racist acronyms and the significance of numbers were also discussed.
While the material on gangs and racist organizations is similar to what one might receive from a local police briefing on gang issues, after teaching on neo-Nazis in the military such as Timothy McVeigh, the material makes an amazing link.

The reason is that liberty is part and parcel of the Christian faith.
No other faith, dogma, or creed to my knowledge comes close and for one good reason. The one true God - the Jehova God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ is against slavery to sin and freedom from the bondage of sin.
Socialism, Marxism, and/or Communism cannot exist with a Christian people.

The material claims the number of “hate groups, extremists and anti-government organizations” has increased because of the prospect of “4 more years under a black president who many on the far right view as an enemy to their country.”
There is some serious paranoia going on here.
The left has been spouting these lies since the 'vast right wing conspiracy' - a crackpot theory they were never able to prove. Never able to probe because it didn't exist. And how do we know that? Because if they had a shred of evidence the New York Times kiss-ups would have taken that information and run with it. On the front page and for days and weeks and as long as they could push it.
Maybe the left's evidence is based on people like the black minister who burned down his own home - and car - after spray painting 'nigger' on the side of the house. Yep, he's "in" with the left in painting us as haters. Only it's him who's the hater.
And the lesbian woman who carved hate words into her own skin and tried to blame white men? She's a hater - she's 'in' with the hateful left. New York Times didn't cover that story either...
So put up or shut up... let's see some names and numbers you evil creeps on the left...
And destroy the military. Fewer and fewer God-fearing true patriots are going to want to join an organisation in which Christianity is banned while “special sensitivity” is shown to Muslims, wiccans, etc, and in which they must put up with harassment by sodomites and “tolerate” (celebrate and embrace) sodomy, and in which standards are lowered to accomodate females for duties for which they’re not qualified (more AA), undermining military readiness and morale. All this weakens the military. Who could believe that the attacks from so many different directions aren’t planned to do just that? And to discourage patriotic Christians from joining?
Unbelievable.
My forefathers came to this continent for religious freedom, fought against the British in the Revolutionary War. And now my Christian heritage and Constitutional freedoms are the #1 terrorist threat against our military/country?!

In my observation the more a person studies and follows the teachings of Jesus, the more peaceful and supportive he becomes in his relationships with others. It doesn’t take much study at all for a follower of Jesus to know that the system of beliefs that He preached must be voluntarily adopted. Those teachings are antithetical to being imposed by force.
The more fervent a person studies and follows the teachings in the Koran, Hadith and Sunnah, the more he is obligated to bring war to people who decline to accept Islam. Indeed, this has been the danger that the Muslim Brotherhood posed to the west because of how it shows people who grew up under Islam that they must fully adopt and embrace all the teachings of Mohammed.

I can think of several FR posters who also use material from the SPLC, particularly in the attempt to smear immigration control groups.
The SPLC is itself a leftwing hate group that smears people it dislikes by implying that they are the same as criminal gangs.
