Investment, environment top Jerry Brown's China agenda (6 day trip to China)

Gov. Jerry Brown had a clear message for Chinese companies as he prepares for his week-long trip to the Middle Kingdom next week: California wants your money.

“They’ve got billions of dollars,” Brown said. “I'd like to get as much for California as we could.”

That includes pursuit of Chinese government and business investment in everything from clean-tech companies to the state’s $68-billion bullet train. Brown will help open a new state trade office in Shanghai, the first of its kind since the state shuttered 12 outposts around the globe a decade ago, to help promote such investment.

Along the way, Brown will ride the bullet train from Beijing to Shanghai, joined by the head of the state’s high-speed rail authority.

This part is funny

“The trip signals a new phase of Brown’s governorship. Having declared the state’s books balanced, he is shifting his focus away from the mundane task of balancing the state’s books toward more lofty pursuits.”

Moonbeam is either extremely naive, high or both.

From other sources I read he is taking his wife and 75 other people with him.

If LA gets nuked, (or something) he will be safe.

His wife? Moonbeam's married? To whom? What's his name?

You nailed the humorous part of this report.

It might be better written if it read, “The trip signals a new phase of Brown’s governorship. Having declared the state’s citizens [tapped-out], he is shifting his focus away from the mundane task of [fleecing Californians toward fleecing people around the globe].”

If Dennnis Rodman and/or Madonna isn’t part of the delegation, there’s no hope of success....

Old Mr Moonbeam is right there in the center of progressive idiocy.

Isn’t it amazing how virtually none of these clowns have ever earned an honest dollar?

But they can most certainly show us how to lose money.

May they all rest in h*ll after passing away while imprisoned in a vat of stinky, slimy Obamastuff whilst listening to 120dB rap music and looking at pictures of Helen Thomas.

For some reason, it’s impossible to find out who is going.

I did find this:

Gov. Jerry Brown packs his bags this weekend for his first trade mission since taking office in 2011, an eight day visit to China designed to drum up business and sell the California brand.

And we’ll be there; News10 is the only television station in traveling with the governor and a delegation of 100 state officials and top business executives.

The group begins in Beijing and makes its way to Shanghai, Nanjing, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen before heading back home on April 17.

Remember when Crocodile Dundee chucked the woman under the “chin” at the party? That would be Anne Gust Brown!

Having chased the last rich American sucker out of California, Brown seeks new ones in China.
