We know the DOD has contingency plans for every possible scenario any place in the world and updates them periodically.
If NK targets anything US, island, continental, ship, etc. will be sufficient provocation to do surgical strikes on NK destroying all missile sites and selected military targets. That will effectively end NK as a threat in the foreseeable future. Certainly the DOD has such a plan on the books, but it requires POTUS approval to initiate.
Now, it will leave a huge humanitarian problem. If we had a conservative in the WH, we would have a chance to cause a revolution to rise up, and with he SK operatives working the area, remove the communist government and install one friendly to SK, and by extension the US, and eventually lead to a unified peninsula. Both China and Russia will work against this plan. But with smart US leadership, it could happen.
OOPs!! sorry ‘bout that. I am not sure the US possesses “smart” leadership in the WH, Congress or in the Pentagon. Like I said - just a thought.

My fear, as noted, is an EMP would give this admin the capability to secure control......one area at a time, no communication (except runners -like ancient Greece (ha)
With martial law and all that....Hey, he might even come off as the “Hero” with statues and framed pictures, songs , flags,just like Uncle Joe.
