A Petersburg minister whose Chesterfield County house was set on fire last month and sparked a potential hate crime probe has been charged with setting the fires himself.
Chesterfield police arrested and charged Olander D. Cuthrell, 41, of the 7800 block of Little Ridge Court, on two counts of felony arson. Cuthrell is a minister at Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Petersburg.
At about 4:30 a.m. on March 15, police were called to Cuthrell's residence where it was reported that a car and a porch were on fire. Both fires were extinguished and no one was injured.
A racial slur was also painted on the house. Due to the allegations of civil rights violations, specifically claims of a hate crime, the FBI assisted the Chesterfield County Police Department in its investigation.
Police Lt. Steve Grohowski said that Cuthrell, "became the focus of the investigation around March 25 or 28."
He also said that police have an "indication" that Cuthrell had financial problems prior to the fire.
Chesterfield police believe Cuthrell set the fires and painted the racial slur on the residence.
Cuthrell is being held without bond at the Chesterfield County Jail pending a hearing in Chesterfield County General District Court on April 17.

I passed “white guilt” some years back, have reached the point of voluntary segregation. We need restoration of our freedom of association. TPTB know that a lot of folks are reaching that conclusion, that’s why they’re ramping up the forced die-versity with dismantling of the projects, section 8 vouchers, public transportation projects which reach to white-flight suburbs, etc. Yeah baby, spread the vibrant die-versity! (higher crime rates, lower academic standards, if any, vandalism, violence, and general trashing of the new “hood”)
Agenda 21 and die-versity, bring it on! I just hope they don’t find a way to bring public transportation to the real boondocks, the remote, isolated back of BF Egypt areas. I’d rather carry water in buckets from a creek than be forced to live in a high-density “population center” at the mercy of the vibrancy.
Have you seen where the mouthpieces for the Atlanta School District cheaters are screaming about “no white faces” amongst those charged with the cheating? Were was their concern about “white faces” being represented all those years when under black cronyism, whites weren’t hired? So what would they expect now? There weren’t any whites in the system in the first place to be involved in the cheating!
I hope they just keep pushing, keep throwing the producers’ dwindling resources at the problem (reparations by other means)-the sooner the crash, the better. Unleash the dogs of war, before whites are a minority in this county. We may already be, if you discount all the guilty white liberals who are going to be like fish in a barrel when the shooting starts. Oh well, culls the herd of the weak ones, if they don’t wise up before they’re dead.
