Now to be reasonable. Let us say an unsuspecting New York City policeman is visiting North Dakota.

He is carrying his service pistol, because in New York City, he can carry it concealed, so he figures he can carry it anywhere(it would be legal for the policeman to carry it in North Dakota).

He drives out in the country and spots some men at a drilling rig. They are pouring bags of a substance labled “fracking sand” into a hopper. He immediately draws his pistol, and orders the men to the ground, because he knows that “fracking” is bad and not legal. Thousands of dollars worth of damage is done to the machinery through inaction while the men at the construction site wait for two hours for the county sheriff to get there.

When he does, the NYC policeman is arrested.

See, just the same sort of situation!/S
