As President Obama prepares to head to Colorado on Wednesday to push gun control legislation, some are calling into question the validity of a key statistic he’s using to tout his message on near-universal background checks. During several speeches, Obama has said 40 percent of all gun purchases were made without a background check.

Truth and facts have no place in the discussion when it comes to gun control. Everything is bad. Everything is deadly, no one “needs” that type of weapon. No one needs more that one bullet. (suicide I guess?) Although dhs appears to have enough ammo for about 5 rounds for every law abiding victim in the country. If you pare that down to the 28 million or so that bill ayres said may need to die, they got more than enough ammo. Lets see, exterminate 28 million, the other 280 million will fall in line real quick. “Get back to your designated district peasants”.

Maybe because he is not getting anything passed on gun control in congress (Senate Dems are scared) he figures by going to these states the low information Dem voters will think he passed these measures instead, thinking actually accomplished something.
Every time he calls for something new, how many voters dont even know it is just talk and he is just lame duck quack quacking?

My guess is it's about 20% nationally. That number would include firearms that are inherited or given as gifts. The majority of firearms homicides are still due to urban gangsters and crazy people, and nothing that Zero has proposed does anything much about that. Punishing legal gun owners because of the actions of crazy people and urban gangsters is like kicking the dog.
The key number is how many murder weapons are bought at gun shows? I bet almost NONE! People that go to gun shows aren’t criminals.
