Travon was unarmed and in the open, but as more facts come out, the more I believe Zimmerman acted in self-defense.

It could be the same here, but I need more data. How many shots? From afar, or at close range? Was the victim armed? With what? Did he shoot? How about the defenders' wounds? Minor or serious? Defensive wounds, or something else? Did anyone witness the break-in, the fight inside, or the final encounter outside?

I haven't made up my mind yet, but I feel like the article writer has. The tone of the article says the victim was a madman and the cop and his wife were defending themselves. Based on the lack of facts, I'm not ready to say that.

By referring to the deceased as "the victim" you're indicating he was an innocent party rather than the perp who died during the commission of a felony.

I think the homeowners will be found to be the victims.
