The writer of this piece obviously prefers O'Reilly, probably because he's willing to capitulate to the liberal positions. The writer goes through and lists issues that O'Reilly has changed his position on by moving from the right to the center due to popular opinion. He lists issues such as the Iraq war, immigration, gun control, the Sandra Fluke birth control/abortion issue, and Sarah Palin.

He obviously prefers Bill O'Reilly, whereas I prefer Limbaugh as I don't want someone whose beliefs are based on the popular opinion at the time, but on their morals and firmly held beliefs. I don't want someone who will sway with the wind. They'll be on your side one day but not the next. The writer obviously likes this about O'Reilly because the left like people they can shift to their views based on a public poll. The writer concludes:

Like Reagan, O’Reilly has a gift for quietly making peace with progressive advances he formerly opposed while excoriating (and often caricaturing) those leftist innovations that can still be dismissed as fringe. If I were a GOP presidential aspirant, I’d watch O’Reilly closely over the next few years, because the Republican candidate who best articulates his brand of conservatism will be the candidate best able to regain the White House in 2016.

One can only hope not.

Who gives a rat’s tail to what O’Reilly Says!

Even Limbaugh has capitulated by saying that gay marriage is “inevitable.”

I say to hell with ‘em both.

The Great Society destroyed the urban family. Today half of all marriages end in divorce and 40% of all children are born out of wedlock, 70% in urban areas. The results and unintended consequences are legion. Generations who can not read , write or ever heard of Pythagoras. Crime ridden cities where there have been more murders in Chicago alone than deaths on the battlefield in the last decade of war. This is LBJ's legacy along with 58,000 KIA and 300,000 + WIA in a war Johnson never had any intention of winning.

So now the state once again in it's infinite wisdom meddles where it should never be. In the family. There will be more unintended consequences and America will go the way of Rome and Cyprus. This is inevitable. Liberals can't help themselves and republicans won't help us.

In point of actual fact, an O'Reilly Republican might pull off getting the nomination away from a Limbaugh conservative but will NOT win the White House!

Witness John McCain and Mitt Romney, both I dare say are O'Reilly Republicans.

The Democrats will always give moderates someone to vote for, while conservatives will stay home rather than vote against their conscience, morality and common sense!

Limbaugh’s statements last week were a far greater victory for gay marriage than O’Reilly’s. Whatever Limbaugh, believes personally, he declared victory last week for the gay marriage side. The fact that a person who is considered so popular declared unilaterally that gay marriage was a done deal, and fighting it was worthless is a huge thing.

In the past, Bill O’Reilly has articulated he believed in certain conservative positions and why. He may have abandoned those positions, but he was on record at one time. Limbaugh makes fun of Democrats and lefties to the nth degree, but has he ever actually said he believed in any conservative positions? Maybe that he is anti-tax? I have never heard him say he is pro-life, or explain why someone should be pro-life. He may think Democrats are too extreme on social issues, but was there ever any evidence that he actually believed conservative positions on social issues?

Blowreilly also had the same “epiphany” with homosexual adoptions. He said he wasn’t for it, then rosie odonut came on his show and he practically gushed over her and declared homosexual adoption a wonderful institution.

O’Reilly is the official Fox News spokesman and in the end an old school RINO Rockefeller Republican with the Nixon and Bush talent for articulating conservative words and then moving back to the left.
