Worse yet is LEAST SIGNIFICANT DIGIT, when measurements have been made with multiple instruments that have different degrees of accuracy & precision.
Oh, that’s right; they also don’t understand the difference between ACCURACY & PRECISION. It draws a blank stare, followed by, “yeah, right; whatever,” when you try to explain that a precise reading can still be an inaccurate measurement.

So if you try to compile data consisting of studying bacteria, tree rings, and accurate thermometer readings, the accuracy is limited by the least accurate measurement put in the mix. So the entire enterprise is no more accurate than making guesses based on studying long-dead bacteria.
