CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) - Holding a Bible in her arms at the start of Holy Week, seamstress Maria Munoz waited patiently to visit the tomb of the man she considers another savior of humanity. The 64-year-old said she had already turned her humble one-bedroom house into a shrine devoted to the late President Hugo Chavez, complete with busts, photos and coffee mugs bearing his image. Now, she said, her brother-in-law was looking for a larger house to display six boxes' worth of Chavez relics that her family has collected throughout his political career.

It could happen here too. We laugh at this but there are a lot of people in America looking for a dictator to take money from one group and hand it to another. And if you go into inner city churches, you’ll see pictures of Obama as if he was a saint. Venezuela was a corrupt but functioning democracy before Chavez. It turned into a dictatorship where people like this woman literally worship the leader. And just like Venezuela, our country truly is just one generation away from dictatorship.

One generation? I think it is more like two years if the Rats take the House and hold the Senate.

Many on the left in this country are exactly the same vis-a-vis Obama. If you insult him, you’ve insulted what passes as their god. To them, you’ve committed blasphemy. God forbid Obama die in office, because the adulation would never end.

It was stomach-turning gross right after Obama was elected in 2008.. remember all those commercials advertising Obama plates, Obama calendars, framed Obama portraits, etc? Clearly, signs of a country that’s lost its sanity when it needs that sanity most.

This is an April Fool’s joke, right? No group of illiterate peasants could be this stupid.

Oh....that’s right...Obama was re-elected president in the USA... never mind.

And this is the real danger of a demagogue. They destabilize self-government by creating a pool of subjects indoctrinated into authority-worship, ripe fodder for the next evil ‘Saviour’.
