Question is, why wasn't she considered to be ambassador to Libya? Women's equality would demand it.

Because they thought an open homosexual would be more accepted by an Arab muslim society in tumult.

The question is about an ambassador going forward, not about what they thought before Ambassador Steven was appointed several years ago.

Plus, it's been my suspicion that, the ambassador was seen going back adn forth, going to meet some guy or other for his homosexual trysts. He made himself a very easy target, and one that, perhaps the majority Muslims who did not approve of the homosexual lifestyle.
