Mexican drug cartels are coming to America

CHICAGO — Mexican drug cartels whose operatives once rarely ventured beyond the U.S. border are dispatching some of their most trusted agents to live and work deep inside the United States — an emboldened presence that experts believe is meant to tighten their grip on the world's most lucrative narcotics market and maximize profits.

If left unchecked, authorities say, the cartels' move into the American interior could render the syndicates harder than ever to dislodge and pave the way for them to expand into other criminal enterprises such as prostitution, kidnapping-and-extortion rackets and money laundering.

Cartel activity in the U.S. is certainly not new. Starting in the 1990s, the ruthless syndicates became the nation's No. 1 supplier of illegal drugs, using unaffiliated middlemen to smuggle cocaine, marijuana and heroin beyond the border or even to grow pot here.

But a wide-ranging Associated Press review of federal court cases and government drug-enforcement data, plus interviews with many top law enforcement officials, indicate the groups have begun deploying agents from their inner circles to the U.S. Cartel operatives are suspected of running drug-distribution networks in at least nine non-border states, often in middle-class suburbs in the Midwest, South and Northeast.

"It's probably the most serious threat the United States has faced from organized crime," said Jack Riley, head of the Drug Enforcement Administration's Chicago office.

I don’t doubt that the murders are drug-related.
What else makes sense?
The one remaining LE spokesman down there who is willing to appear before cameras has been
quoted lately, looking rather sheepish, but not letting
on that he has ANY idea who is behind the OBVIOUSLY related
murders. Very little info that I have seen anyway , has been forthcoming from the MSM, as to who or what is behind the murders or what the prosecutors could have done to trigger their own murders. They all seem just about equally scared and tentative about the situation, proclaiming that as awful as it is, it’s not gonna stop them from “living their lives”.

42 years???
I picked up some HUNDRED YEAR OLD New York newspapers about 20 years ago,at a yard sale, and their pages even then were full of what they called “the war on drugs”.

Obama and Holder armed them with taxpayer funds. Frankly, the DHS looks like an official criminal mob with massive armament and carte blanche to steal (warrantless raiding of safe deposit boxes to remove gold, silver, cash, guns). We're paying to arm both sides and they are pushing to disarm us.

I wasn’t really ever for ending the Drug War, but over time I’ve watched it corrupt the police/judicial system, enrich absolute scum, and undermine liberty I can no longer support it.

There has to be a better way, one that preserves liberty.

Mass killings? This is America. That doesn’t fly here.

The Cartels maintain their “monopoly” by government fiat. Take that away and they’re in the poor house. Think of all the rats who’d flip on them for past crimes and murders just for a couple of bucks.

No need for the “sarcasm tag” when a comment is that ridiculous.

Yep, they don’t mind when the government makes you do what they like. What a long, slow fall from demanding an Amendment to prohibit an adult activity to passing whatever, whenever and not even via the legislature.

Rule making is law writing.

My students would tell stories of these cartels and they knew the names of the head honchos.

Well, those “some” are in the media...

It is possible that they (investigators) do not know, as yet, and it is unlikely that the truth will be told, and will it really matter if we ever do discover the truth...

At this point, Aryan Brotherhood, or the drug cartels angle...Does it really matter who is responsible???

The segment of the population that could be effected might be the political grassroots folks who are the base of the republican party...Those Precinct Chairmen, the folks, your nieghbors, that are active in the operations of the party...

Idealy, those local organizations have quarterly meetings, and guess who attends those meeting as well??? Politicians, judges and DA’s who may be on the front of fighting this from the judiciary side of the equation...

A target rich environment, that when they do have their meetings, they are usually conducted in facilities that are “gun free zones”...Imagine that irony...

Whomever is begining to conduct these “hits” will obviously begin to put together this issue and possibly be licking their chops at the prospect...

At this point I would not be surprised...
