WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama attended Easter services at an Episcopal church near the White House where past presidents frequently have worshipped.
The president, first lady Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia took the short walk across Lafayette Park to St. John's Church Sunday morning.
Obama was greeted by several parishioners with handshakes and smiles as the church members were returning to their seats from Holy Communion, which the first family also joined.
The sermon by Rev. Dr. Luis Leon was based on the Gospel of John and the Resurrection of Jesus. Leon said the message of Easter was about the "proclamation of victory, the victory of powerful love over loveless power."

Funny, so was the sermon at my church, and it didn't say anything about how evil "right-wingers" are. (Actually, my pastor is coasting by repeating the high points of the Pope's sermons ;-).

Obama got more of his racist preacher talk today. I guess he misses the Rev Wright and GD America stuff.
The way I read this he didn’t getthere until time for Communion, but that could be because the writer of the article wasn’t very good.
I also don’t shake hands with people on the way back from communion, but maybe the epicopals do it differently.

Pretending isn’t working anymore so he’ll probably quit doing it soon. By their deeds ye shall know them installing the terrorist gangs into power and giving them zillions of dollars while arming them to the teeth with the latest and most deadly weapons. These are not the deeds of a Christian. End of case. (Note also how he always seems to find anti-American racist hate-filled preachers or those that use their pulpits to preach hatred and discord, or simply communistic revolution. Wonder what he’d do if he accidentally had to sit thru as genuine Christian sermon and prayer service, even just once. ?)

I thought that Unitarians did not believe in the deity of Christ. So, why were they taking communion?

Sorry I would have walked out of the church, Easter Sunday is no time for Satan to be in the house of the Lord!
