In this instance, or instances, I’m thinking that the Aryan Brotherhood may also be acting as assassins for their allied cartels south of the border. They’re already believed to be one of the primary meth distributors for the cartels, so why not expand their business a bit?
It makes perfect sense....rather than the cartel sending a hit team to “El Norte”, just have your allies, who already have boots on the ground, as it were, do it for you. Classic organized crime cooperation.

Ya got Mexican drug bosses living right here in the good old USA not to mention tens of thousands of their gangster soldiers living right here.
In fact, ya got U.S. Government politicians on their payrolls, paid off to ensure those open borders, remain wide open.
