I’d say that the Administrators are the weapons-grade idiots who need to be fired.

1) They hired and approved the course curriculum in the first place.
2) Then they suspended the MORMON student who refused

On a side note ... I thought Mormons were a cult and were all evil? This was a pretty simple litmus test, wasn’t it? This was the ONLY Christian in the class with the faith to stand up for what he believed in. Not a single Baptist, not a single Catholic, not a single Methodist, Lutheran, Presbyterian - NO ONE ELSE had the guts to stand up for their beliefs.

So, go ahead - flame away at the Mormons - we have a faith and we stand for what we believe in. We don’t need a crowd to find courage, or an opinion poll to tell us what is right.

Trying to lift oneself up by tearing others down? Can you say with any certainty that there actually were Christian students of any denomination present in that classroom? This was a university campus, after all.

Good on him for speaking out, though, it needed doing whether I agree with Mormonism or not.

You do realize that it is school BOARDS that hire the superintendents (They hire the administrators)and choose the curriculum. These boards are elected by people like you and me and are made up of citizens that choose to run for the office.

You want different decisions you need different boards.

I take that you are of the Mormon faith. I am from/of one of the other denominations you mentioned. Years ago I saw how ‘my’ church was veering from teachings to which I had been dedicated. I too was surprised that there were apparently no other followers of Jesus among the other students at least to stand with the Mormon man. I can only hope and pray that any differences the others might have had with the Mormon religion, as I have, were such that they could stand by and let Jesus be offended. In some ways I am at this day and time reminded about the real events surrounding Jesus.

I’ve never bashed Mormons although I believe that the Jesus they worship is not the one we (Protestants) worship.

I’ve met a lot of Mormons and most of them have great families and take care of their kids and appear trustworthy.
Statistically speaking, is seems the Mormons take better care of their lives and families than fellow non-denominational Christians and that’s sad.

I’m a Christian but if someone I want to do business with sees a Bible in my home office and then says that they’re Christians too, I run from them although I have asked what their favorite book in the Bible is.

Good for this kid.

“I’d say that the Administrators are the weapons-grade idiots who need to be fired.”

That’s a fact! If not for them, events of this nature wouldn’t happen.

I'll give you that, Hodar, for the same reason that I respect Roman Catholics for leading the fight on Obamacare and waking evangelicals up decades ago to why abortion needs to be fought. People who are in major disagreements on religious issues can still work together politically when our differing religious beliefs tell us to do the same thing in the sphere of civil government.

You are absolutely right. I hope there are a lot of other students in that class wishing right now they had the courage of their convictions.
