I’d say that the Administrators are the weapons-grade idiots who need to be fired.

1) They hired and approved the course curriculum in the first place.

You do realize that it is school BOARDS that hire the superintendents (They hire the administrators)and choose the curriculum. These boards are elected by people like you and me and are made up of citizens that choose to run for the office.

You want different decisions you need different boards.

Where are all the FReepers who marauded Romney threads last year questioning whether Mormons are really Christians? This college student is a Mormon and (apparently) is the ONLY one in the class willing to stand up for Jesus. ‘Nuf said.

What’s that part of the Bible about “casting the first stone”?

It could be worse, we could have a Mormon president...

You are correct.

And I’m as guilty as the next. I couldn’t tell you who is on our local school board is my life depended upon it. I couldn’t tell you who I voted for in the last election.

It’s pathetic - one of the most important positions, that affects our future - and we are all practically blind as to what we are doing.

If the Mormon student (bless him!) who refused, had written on that piece of paper “Beyonce” and stomped on it, would he have been suspended for cheating?

How about using "Mohammed" in the exercise instead? Would that have been OK?

Trying to lift oneself up by tearing others down? Can you say with any certainty that there actually were Christian students of any denomination present in that classroom? This was a university campus, after all.

Point taken. I guess there was only 1 Christian in that class. If there were others, they were certainly disciples of Judas or Paul that day. When given the chance, they denied Christ - and that is something they will carry with them the rest of their lives.

I take that you are of the Mormon faith. I am from/of one of the other denominations you mentioned. Years ago I saw how ‘my’ church was veering from teachings to which I had been dedicated. I too was surprised that there were apparently no other followers of Jesus among the other students at least to stand with the Mormon man. I can only hope and pray that any differences the others might have had with the Mormon religion, as I have, were such that they could stand by and let Jesus be offended. In some ways I am at this day and time reminded about the real events surrounding Jesus.

Who said Mormons were Christians? Christians don’t call Mormons Christians. They are Mormons. It’s a doctrinal thing.

Thank you for your polite response. I am used to getting seriously flamed for saying things like that. I would like to add to what you said. Not only is this position important because of the education issue, but also the stepping stone issue. It is an elected position and people can use it on a Resume to move up to town or city council and then to who knows where. it is a stepping stone. If we know their agenda here we know their agenda later.

Only teachers and other government officials, including Obama and Holder, have the right to bully underlings. It’s one of their perks.

To avoid your own generous helping of old fashioned whoop-a**, Chris, perhaps you’d better not defend virulent race-baiters such as Poole.

Who said Mormons were Christians? Christians don’t call Mormons Christians. They are Mormons. It’s a doctrinal thing.

The Mormons say they are Christians.

Back when I got into Scientology, I showed my Mormon convert grandmother (the only Mormon in the family) some Scn literature.

The first comment out of her mouth was, "But there's nothing about Christ here!"

She was a Mormon, her very first thought in evaluating a religion was: is it Christ centered?

Please enlighten me as to how that is anti-Christian.

I see a tree. I see its fruits. I know what kind of tree it is.

I’ve never bashed Mormons although I believe that the Jesus they worship is not the one we (Protestants) worship.

I’ve met a lot of Mormons and most of them have great families and take care of their kids and appear trustworthy.
Statistically speaking, is seems the Mormons take better care of their lives and families than fellow non-denominational Christians and that’s sad.

I’m a Christian but if someone I want to do business with sees a Bible in my home office and then says that they’re Christians too, I run from them although I have asked what their favorite book in the Bible is.

Good for this kid.
