The Bedford Flag is on display in Bedford town hall. Said to be the oldest “American” flag, much to the chagrin of certain elements of the community. For reference, Bedford lies between Lexington and Concord. The Bedford Minutemen would have marched west to Concord to meet the British at the Old North Bridge, and then with Minutemen from the surrounding communities harassed the Red Coats on their long march back east through Bedford and Lexington to Boston.
