Atlanta (CNN) -- In what has been described as one of the largest cheating scandals to hit the nation's public education system, 35 Atlanta Public Schools educators and administrators were indicted Friday on charges of racketeering and corruption.

The indictment is the bookend to a story that was once touted as a model for the nation's school districts after the district's test scores dramatically improved in some of its toughest urban schools.

Among those indicted by a Fulton County, Georgia, grand jury was Beverly Hall, the former schools superintendent who gained national recognition in 2009 for turning around Atlanta's school system.

Ya know what is funny?

Washington DC had a woman that was actually fixing the problem. She was getting rid of the loads in schools. Shedding bad teachers and bringing real education to DC.

Mayor Gray fired her.

Couldn’t have the Washington DC school kids actually learning anything.

Perhaps someday 30-40% of minorities will come to understand the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party and move away from their oppressors. Urban elite liberals like Obama, Rahm Emmanuel, Pelosi, the Kennedy family, deny poor urban minorities vouchers while they themselves “choose” good private schools for their own children. Meanwhile they force minority students into union controlled dysfunctional holes where people remain ignorant, docile and easily controlled. They also always seem to locate their abortion clinics in urban neighborhood. Then they payoff “leaders” like Jackson and Sharpton to keep minorities in line. Republicans need to attack along these lines if they hope to survive and save this country.

As long as the Dims promise food stamps and welfare, there is no chance minorities can be swayed from them.

You are so correct about the Dems “keeping minorities on the plantation”.... and that the GOP should go after this....

However, the GOP now goes along with the Dems on this....you see this with Illegal Alien Amnesty, gay marriage, political correctness.... the GOP now has been co-opted the same way like minorities

Kudos to Atlanta---they saw through this reprobate educator. Next Atlanta
oughta check her handling of education funds---they're in for a huge surprise.

Beverly Hall---credited w/ "turning around" Atlanta
schools---honored for her educator "achievements."

BTW, before bestowing her "educational superiority" on Atlantans (/cackle), this fraud Hall headed the decrepit Newark NJ schools, for which she also took credit.

And when Hall departed Newark, $73 Million in education funds went missing.

Perhaps someday 30-40% of minorities will come to understand ...
I, along with the vast majority of sane people, have been thinking the same thing since the early 1970s. Guess what? It-ain't-gonna'-happen.
"Black america" is doomed and with Santa Claus now the titular head of the Dem party, it'll only speed up the process of extinction.

Columbus City Schools (ohio) are being investigated for the same thing. Actually, the superintendent could be Miss Beverly’s twin.

Things are going to get a lot worse because we now have a society that holds attributes such as integrity, honor, accountability, and honesty in contempt. For the most part schools, parents, and kids don’t care.

Well maybe just maybe when the Democrats nominate another stale white liberal and if the Republicans have the guts to aggressively point out this hypocrisy, there may begin a significant drift of minorities away from the oppressive Democrats. Sadly it will not be possible for Republicans to win if 95% of the African-American vote and 70% of other minorities who out of deluded ignorance continue to vote for the decadent Democrats. The country will decline further.
