It was absolutely terrorism, but Im not sure they should be awarded the Purple Heart. I would compare their case for the medal against others wounded or killed in any other terror attack. Honestly, I have not done the footwork on whether they have or havent, i.e. the folks who were wounded on 9-11 at the Pentagon?

“The Defense Department document says that to expand the Purple Heart criteria to include domestic criminal acts or domestic terror attacks would be a dramatic departure from traditional criteria.”
Yet “they” want to create a new medal for the desk bound “pilots” of the military drones. This medal would rank above a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. I am not saying that those people are not doing a professional job. I honor their service.
And Pam and Katherine, why not say wounded rather than injured?
