I had a relative on the US airbase in the zone between S. Korea and N. Korea and he said North Korea had enormous caves going under that zone and the caves are large enough to drive huge trucks through. He said if N. Korea moved through those caves, our airbase would be lost fast. If we know about those caves (and ground-penetrating radar should give us a pretty good idea of them), then I would be surprised if we didn't have explosive charges buried on top of each of them, ready to collapse them on command.

The caves are in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and no one is allowed in that area. If one of our guys went into that zone, he would be killed immediately by the line up of N. Korean soldiers that guard that border. Now, if there is all out war, all bets are off in that zone.
