Wish I would have known that back when a 3 star General told us the NKs were massing at the border and to expect 75% causalities if they came across.

The North Koreans have a huge Army, massive artillery, and massive small arms.

That is enough to cause horrific casualties to our forces and the ROK forces - casualties in both number and scale not inflicted in the US military for decades.

They don't have to win. They have to hurt us, badly, and they did it in 1950-51 with lesser weapons than they possess now. And, we have not even mentioned the Chinese....who by the way.....came to their aid during the first Korean War and will probably do so again.
