Is anyone else looking at this?
I see it has slowly been losing altitude over the last few hours. Was 365mi, now 312.

Perhaps you could tell us which “this” we’re supposed to be concerned about?
Space Station (ISS), NKorea Sat, other?
The link doesn’t help me understand that.....

It’s a North Korean satellite. It will be directly over the US the next 4 nights.

You’re not just seeing an eccentric orbit varying in altitude?

You do realize that the world isn't actually round, right? It is now 348 miles over the ground as it transits the pole, and then it will ‛drop‛ down again as it approaches the equator, and then go up again over the north pole.

Its a North Korean satellite. It will be directly over the US the next 4 nights. Not if it's losing 53 miles of altitude a day, it won't. That thing is gonna burn up over somebody's country pretty damn quick.

Last few hours or during a 50 minute period? The perigee is 504.2 km/313 miles and the apogee is 585.9 /364 miles. It will hit both in its 95 minute orbit.

Why is KMS 3-2 orbiting East to West? I thought most satellites went West to East and that to launch one East to West took much more energy.

Ok, thanks for the info. I have not been looking at it long enough to know what normal should be.
It was right over my location a while ago.

"then it will ‛drop‛ down again as it approaches the equator"
It just went over the equator and did not loose altitude. Now 361mi.

Great handle.
The orbit is elliptical, and technically retrograde, essentially polar.

Actually it is in a polar orbit and the earth is moving to the east underneath the orbit.
To: feedback doctor
Over Alaska now altitude 344mi.
