It's two terms or 10 years.

If as Vice-President he completes less than half of a President's term, he's entitled to two full terms of his own. They don't have to be consecutive. Prior to the 22nd Amendment, only Grover Cleveland had two non-consecutive terms.

Thanks - so could Obama be vice-president and then have whoever is president quit making Obama president then run again after his term?
