Please go to the link and read the entire article. There are a good many pictures also. These people look like the real thing. These are the ‘people’ that leftists endlessly emote over but never do anything substantive for. They live in one of the poorest parts of Mexico with a long history of rebellion and vigilantism. The vigilante movement is growing in the mountainous central west part of Mexico as the criminality from the drug regimes have begun to spill over into areas where there is little narcotics action. What is now emerging is generalized banditry like something out of a Hollywood film like the ‘Magnificent Seven’.
Armed gangs now infest areas extracting protection moneys from farmers and small merchants, establishing shake down road blocks on highways and kidnapping anyone slightly prosperous for ransom. On top of this theft of community property such as valuable timber assets is becoming common. Gangs show up with trucks and power saws and a lot of weapons and simply harvest timber. The trend in self defense is likely to grow and is one more symptom of how deeply enmeshed in a destructive cycle of violence, chaos, and corruption our southern neighbor is. In the past this trend ends in general collapse of the central government, warlordism and generalized armed chaos featuring hosts of private semi-bandit armies. Bad times seem to be coming south of the border.

I think the last time this happened was about 1900-1920 in Mexico.
