In other words, it's actually American corporate welfare.
“Military aid cuts would also hinder Israels ability to purchase a second squadron of F-35 Lightning II, the new, top-of-the-line fighter US aircraft expected to roll out in 2016. Israel originally signed a $2.75 billion deal for 20 F-35s in October 2010, but the air force ultimately wants to expand the fleet to 75 F-35s at a projected cost of upwards of $15.2 billion.”
Could they write that 15.2 billion dollar check from their own checkbook?
Are we going to continue providing military aid and putting troops and bases all over the world for the next five hundred years? Why is this okay?
Our bipartisan political regulator bosses complain about giving military aid to Israel while wanting to continue much larger funding for our enemies.
BUMP
Gee, the Sequestration made me do it. The term gives dear leader additional Teflon layers. He should be called out on his cynical spending choices. This comes right after his expensive Israel trip that set the optics that he’s their friend.
