How did you arrive at your interpretations? How do you know you are right? Do you believe in God?
These basic critical thinking questions were sent by a pastor to the author in response to an article she wrote. Despite being a tenured professor that espouses critical thinking as a key academic skill, these three questions angered her yet they caused her to open up to the possibility of not having all the answers.

Excellent article. Thank you for submitting.
Amazing story - this woman is truly courageous for opening up and being willing to be obedient to the God whose existence she denied for so long.
Now that is one heck of a last line.
Fortunately most Christians are loving and forgiving.
Here is a link to a Harvard Crimson article from 1997 when the CT author was actively decrying Promise Keepers in the way she describes in the CT article. It gives a contemporaneous look into the author’s mind without any editorial fog that may exist in the CT article.

“ It be best to not repeat her story or others could be harmed especially children.”
So there BB :)
Thanks. Great article. So like God to do the impossible for love’s sake.
Great way to approach such things.
Beautiful testimony. Very interesting story of how she came to Christ. God bless the pastor she mentioned (I think his name was Ken) for doing what Jesus did - He loved and spent time with and was a “friend of sinners”. Jesus never condoned sin, but He demonstrated His love and concern for them and didn’t treat them with hatred and contempt.
Interesting comments following the article.

I am in tears. Thank you for posting. Thank God for the humble walk of Ken and Floy.
Whatever else this Christian woman is today, a very good writer is part of who she is.
If anyone is interested in seeing her speak on this, here are the links. Amazing testimony.

The “sexual revolution” of the 60’s with all the “free love” and promiscuity; what a terrific way at that time to exquisitely PUNISH parents. Now, it’s been refined; to the PERFECTLY EXQUISITE nasty sexual habit that conjures up mental pictures of warped and painful sexual practice that demands parades and acting out. Parents like the Republican Senator who recently “came out” in support of “gay” marriage in tandem with the “ME,TOO!” declaration of Hillarious Clinton aren’t all that convincing that they’re all that delighted. TIRESOME!! If I turn the tv off, for me most of it does not exist.
“Pat Robertson’s quip from the 1992 Republican National Convention pushed me over the edge: “Feminism,” he sneered, “encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians.”
Except for maybe the witchcraft I cant find anything wrong with the statement.
“Then, one ordinary day, I came to Jesus, openhanded and naked.”
Did Jesus wince?
