Humans are big about sentimentality and paying homage,, oft times to those who others may question as to their deeds of accomplishments .. but then , O won a Nobel Prize before he ever ascended. Is this OK? depends how sentimental a person one is.. and how much homage you have left to bestow.

Is there at least a way we can kill this with Obama’s sequester???

It's amazing how those in government treat each other as heroes and celebrities. Ya see it all the time.
Everytime there is an incident, or crime, ya get the mayor, governor, police chief, and assorted government lackeys, all standing in front of the cameras giving interview after interview, all while praising and thanking each other for doing a spectacular job...
In Ms. Giffords case, she and others unfortunately caught bullets shot by a mental case...So what do those in government do?
They treat her as if she is a hero, who created some historic achievement...Then they name a military warship after her.
So there ya have it!

Maybe she’ll get an even bigger statue on the mall than MLK.

Gabby Giffords is a perfect inspiration for our new National Security Strategy.
She stood oblivious of the threat and was passively shot while offering no resistance. She remains an advocate of weakness and unpreparedness.

I’d be a hero too if some insane jerk shot me and I lived through the horrible experience.
But would the central socialist government name a ship after me?

Gifford's is a vile person. I have no sympathy or compassion for her whatsoever. She is using a tragic event to promote tyranny. She is part of those attacking our Bill of Rights, and that's just not acceptable. Many of us will not accept anymore infringement on our second amendment right, and will resist them tooth and nail. There will be innocent Americans murdered resisting this tyranny to some degree, and that blood is on the hands of those pushing this on peaceful patriots.
It's time for acts of civil disobedience in parts of the nation. Peaceful protest of heavily armed patriots, demonstrating open defiance of unconstitutional attempts aimed to disarm us. If we can't even take this risk, we aren't going be able to take the ultimate risk if it goes that far. We need to be proactive instead of just waiting around for them, and we still have plenty of peaceful options available to us. We have to put them in a situation to allow us our freedom, or attempt to violently force their tyranny upon us. Hopefully we can have a peaceful, and victorious outcome, but we have to be willing to take some risk. The stronger, and more united we are the better chance we have for those possibilities.

Mabus said the notion occurred to him that this would be a fitting tribute not only to Giffords but to Navy families because she was a Navy spouse And... they're actually expecting us to believe this BS.
