In its first three years, President Obama's healthcare law has imposed more than $30 billion in costs and 111 million hours of paperwork burdens, according to a new study from the American Action Forum.
The forum, a conservative think tank led by former Congressional Budget Office Director Douglas Holtz-Eakin, said the law will raise premiums and hurt small businesses.
"The macro figures, $30.8 billion in costs and 111 million hours, might give policymakers some concern, but the real impact is how these figures affect the healthcare market, consumers, and small businesses," the report said.
Some provisions of the law are designed to raise premiums for example, doing away with bare-bones plans known as "mini-meds" that offer low premiums but will place steep annual caps on benefits.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
and our highly skilled, competent, and caring physician/PA/nurse staff will get into BIG trouble if the bull**** paperwork isn’t completed to perfection 100% of the time.
Our healthcare staff are going to leave the profession if this crap keeps up...and it will...because nothing is ever Obama’s fault.
Praise the glorious leader who invented healthcare and cured cancer while he was vacationing in Hawaii!
As more are cut from full-time to under 29 hours per week so their employers can avoid paying for health care, there will be more people available to be hired to do all that paperwork.
Win-Win [in Libthink logic]
At my quarterly appointment with my Internist, he ranted that the frequently changing regulations with the drug companies and insurance companies are driving him to consider early retirement.
And the full impact of the Obamacare regulations don’t even show up until next year.
I’m sure according to Democrat logic, this will create jobs.
Dems will conclude this is a true job creator. 111 million hours divided by 2080 is over 53,000 jobs! They’ll ignore the millions of jobs it will destroy.
