McCain and Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Dean Heller (R-Nev.) are at the top of a list of Republicans considered most likely to sign on to legislation expanding background checks after talks with Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) stalled earlier this month.
it appears Senator McCain’s service to America ended some time before he became as Senator....
Those idiots voted AGAIN for this clearly senile old jerk. He can be absolutely counted on to vote the wrong way whenever his vote really counts.
Could there be enough support in Arizona
for a petition to recall?
Why do they support this guy?
Reminder, other “extra democrats” like McCain to be removed next year (Chambliss and Johanns are already leaving): Alexander (TN), Graham (SC), Collins (ME), Enzi (WY), Cochrane (MS), McConnell (KY) and Cornyn (TX)
This is McCain’s last rodeo. He isn’t running again.
He is becoming worse. He is so out of touch with his own base. Oh, I forget, he doesn’t like his base. He only talks tough when he is in a reelection cycle or can throw criticisms to his supporters during his town hall meetings and rallies..Yes, thanking him for his service and what what he endured (that’s on one side- his weakness is the issue now that we all have to endure). Hoping people put pressure on him.
And he seems to think that the press will write great stories about him.
The stories will be the love/hate from his own party about him and his failures/crossing the aisle/gang of 8 gang of 6-pick a number..he's caved so much with the liberals when we needed for him to be strong.
“This is McCains last rodeo. He isnt running again.”
Oh, I know. But he has been training apprentices. They must be removed from positions of power and influence.
Hope they get run out of town. But its HARD to beat an incumbent.
The Reasons why:
1) Party-Line.
In some areas, perhaps MOST - like in New Jeresy, the Party Committee Chair gets to put the candidate HE or SHE prefers on the “Party Line”, e.g. “Regular Republican” and if the ballot is set up in columns, THEY go in the FIRST column. Everybody ELSE if listed in adjoing columns under names like “New Republican”, etc. Ditto for Democrats. MANY primary voters don’t follow issues too closely. They vote for name recognition or who is first on the list.
The Party Chiefs are generally in bed with whoever is the incumbent for various reasons.
2) Power of the Incumbency
Any incumbent is in position to extend “favors” to constituents. In many cases this involves no more than addressing a complaint or concern with a local government or state or federal agency - whatever the case may be - which the citizen NORMALLY could have addressed adequately ALL ON THEIR OWN.
3) Legislation They introduce legislation that interests special interest groups - even of the know that there isn’t a chance that it will get approved. So they get big bucks from lobbyists and the interests they represent.
All of the above stacks the deck against challengers. And many serial incumbents simply want to stay in office and so are unwilling to do anything that rocks the boat.
And THAT is why it is difficult to flush out turds like McCain et al.
Question regarding mandatory background checks, for McCain:
1-How many fewer gang-bangers will have guns, once this passes?
2-How many fewer mental patients will have guns, once this passes?
3-How many fewer mobsters will have guns, once this passes?
4-Which of the last 10, high profile shootings would have been stopped with mandatory background checks?
5-Why are you too lazy or afraid to ask these questions before supporting such idiotic legislation?
McStain has become a demented troll. Cindy needs to put him in a home.
That will ensure him a seat on Sunday’s news shows where they will allow MeCain to dis Ted Cruz and the Conservative Base.
I hate him and his daughter. Like father, like daughter/son.
