So sorry to hear this. I remember him from our DC protests in 2000. (I remember you, too. Hope you are doing well.)
To his family. He was a true patriot and full of righteous conviction. Prayers for your healing and solace.
That was so well done. Thank you for the memorial!
I did not read all the threads to see if this was posted, so forgive me if it’s a repeat, but there is a nice several minute long video memorial of Dr. Raoul here:
Perhaps somehow it could be part of his place on the memorial wall.
Dr Roul was extremely active in supporting the troops recovering at Walter Reed. I am fortunate to have known him.
kristinn, what an eloquent tribute you wrote on Gateway Pundant! It was so beautifully written and truly from the heart. Thank you!
Cross linking complete version of the tribute posted to FR today.
Prayers for the family of Dr Raoul. Always enjoyed reading his “articles”.
I just read this... I am so sorry, he will be greatly missed. He has left so many of us with such great memories over the years. He had that wonderful ability to use wit with which to belittle the left over their sophistries. RIP Doc Raoul :`(
what a great piece Kristinn, thank you! I will forward it to Philip as well.
Very nice Kristinn.
Maybe He needs him for later on. I’d certainly want Raoul on my team.
Sorry to hear this. One of the great FReepers. America is poorer.
Oh no! I’m so sorry to read this. Had pleasure to have met him at one of the FReeps back in 2009 or so. My prayers and condolences to his family.
+ memory eternal +
Oh no! I didn’t see this when it was posted, but I remember Doctor Raoul from our Freeper Inauguration Balls!
RIP and Godspeed...
I’m very sorry to hear this news. I knew of Dr. Raoul through FR & we anti/antifreeped on a couple of private sites together for several years. Even after the sites faded, we kept in touch for several years.
He was fierce, loyal and dedicated. He gave one hundred percent. He operated at full throttle, a trait that I admired very much. Dr. Raoul was someone you could count on completely. He always had his friends and allies backs, and he was kind & fun to be around.
Probably twenty people or less would remember an alternate ID from the old days as
” not_crab_align “
poking fun at “not tab align” aka TDE.
RIP “Raoul Deming”.
Love to Doctor Raoul and his family. He always was a great guy and a favorite amoung FReepers everywhere. He will be greatly missed. May God rest his soul.
Hard to believe.
HE WAS THERE AT THE BEGINNING.
One of the few.
yea, he was a treasure.. I may have some photos of him...we had a tri-state chapter Christmas party and he was there and was at a freep I ran in NJ at a hillary book signing.... I think he was the devil there too.
