A vote, straw vote or referendum can only be valid if the outcome is to their liking.
If not, they ridicule and belittle their opponents and demand revotes and recounts until they get a result they like.

This tactic is straight from the Dem playbook, and it usually works (although I realize having the media push your narrative helps).
In order to win you have to be stronger, smarter and more determined than your adversary. Ergo, we have to out shout and call them out. This is not a chess game, its a contact sport.
