You have to get north of Community road, past where MLK blvd turns into Altama before you’d feel safe walking to your car at night. The best lunch joints are well south of that however!
There are numerous small Christian private schools just ‘off island’ so to speak.
Its really sad that Glynn Academy has deteriorated. It was/is a beautiful campus with big oaks etc old architecture.

The mayors have worked hard to rejuvinate Brunswick eeconomically and it was catching until the recent downturn.
There is however a government-perpetuated culture of poverty and violence in south central Brunswick.
A decade ago when we went first went there on a construction mission, the members of our host church were scared to bring our lunches to us in ‘Samaria’. Sad.
Its a beautiful (potentially) coastal town in need of economic and moral/spiritual revival.
