If put in terms of political selfishness we should throw blacks overboard and go after Hispanics because there are more of them.
I would call it electoral pragmatism. Conservative values are much more in line with Hispanic values and we can win Hispanic votes without pandering. It seems there’s little anybody can do about that 400 year old chip on many blacks’ shoulders.
