The GOP needs to stop pandering to Independents. Towards the end of the 2012 campaign, Romney started blabbing the “walk across the aisle” prattle. It was a killer. I am sure those dopey consultants were pushing that.

If you stand for something and remain tough, people will want to be a part of it.

Amen bros - 100% correct - and the book chronicles 20 years of stories and anecdotes and analogy demonstrating exactly what you say. And I think the message is getting out. NUMBER ONE AMAZON BEST SELLER in Elections currently.

As for Romney, they thought they were going to win and played it safe at the end. Their get out the vote software crashed, and certain conservatives stayed home. Let’s face it, most thought Romney would win.

However, the GOP should have been using surrogates to go after Obama and not let up until it sticks. Instead, they sat back and let democrats do it to Romney.
