The number of Americans who applied last week for new unemployment benefits rose slightly but clung near a five-year low, another indication that fewer people are losing their jobs.
Initial jobless claims rose by 2,000 to a seasonally adjusted 336,000 in the week ended March 16, the Labor Department said Thursday. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch forecast expected claims to rise to 340,000 from a revised 334,000 in the prior week.

These same journalists, or their ilk, under Bush, were writing about the TERRIBLE economy and high gas prices when jobless claims were lower and fuel was cheaper.
Got bias?
A boat is no longer sinking once it reaches the bottom.
Only “jobs” are government jobs in which people do nothing .
50 million people on food stamps
record numbers on disability
as government grows our freedoms disappear one by one, and our opportunity to make money lessens. America used to be the land of opportunity and a jobs machine, now it is becoming a socialist hell hole
this socialist dictator Obama said the Palestinians have a right to their own state, how about us in Louisiana we have a right to have our own state you big eared moron , where we live in freedom and how we want to and not under the oppression of Washington Dc.

...According to the household survey (on which the unemployment rate is based), the economy added a healthy 170,000 jobs. The survey also shows a tremendous increase of 446,000 part-time jobs.
...What this means is that the economy actually shed 276,000 full-time jobs.
The lies are only half working; EVERYBODY knows the economy is terrible, but the media has convinced some that it has nothing to ddo with Obama or his handlers’ policies. There is no love left for him in any case; I work with plenty of blacks that feel no affinity with him at all. They see their earning power drop, are scraping by, and are a very dejected bunch (after voting for him twice).
This whole story smells like a steaming pile of cow patties
The Regime and their media lapdogs are using the strategy of, after breaking their arm, telling themselves over and over “My arm’s not broken” to think that will fix it.
Or Rocky and Bullwinkle see “Unemployment is the highest in 70 years.”

Blacks are just starting to realize they re being used, big time.
Perhaps a VERY few - <1% - but don't hold your breath for a mass epiphany among the vast majority of blacks. For them, race trumps all and blinds eyes.
Great, the Titanic has stopped sinking.
Because the employment pool is almost an apartheid world divided between the have-jobs and the can’t-get-jobs.
You remember the presser when the unemployment rate hit 5%!
You’d have thought that Bush killed the last unicorn or Chenny had shot someone else.
“Blacks are just starting to realize they re being used, big time.”
They knew before, but it was worthwhile for them to cut off their noses to spite their faces.
"worst economy since Herbert Hoover" is how they described Bush's 4.7% unemployment rate. Compare the economy before and after Pelosi/Reid won control of Congress back in 2006 and we'll see who it was that really began the destruction of our wonderful economy.
The GOP would have gained control of both houses by now if they focused on this point alone. These facts have never left the lips of John Boehner.
They are telling the voters that. The regime and media lapdogs know very well it all started when it was known that Pelosi/Reid would win control of Congress in 2006.
The Hollywood and the Media experienced an economic boom during the Great Depression. They made out like a bandit compared to us regular folk. They're not afraid of losing their jobs.
