Ridiculous. I’d imagine all that the disabled would ever need already exists in the form of talking browsers with speech synthesizers. They are only limited by the equipment and software/browsers they purchase and use at home. Indeed, everything about the internet is already ideally existing for the disabled compared to brick-n-mortar stores.

Has to do with the structure for tables in HTML and other web standards. It's still possible to lay out tables in a way that's simply not comprehensible to a blind guy listening to a text translator. Some Freepers have earlier indicated there's software to FIX that problem, and if you think you'll have blind people shopping your stuff on the net, make sure you meet your market's requirements.

However, the big problem on almost all websites is COLOR, and that covers only government websites. Presumably the color blind, or deficient (all the dudes using viagra are losing blue btw) will know how to ADJUST things so that they can see all the characters one way or the other.
