I looked to see if you posted any mention of “the story” and didn’t see any. That leads to the question, “What story?”
To: libstripper
That the crime was committed by someone linked to al-Turki and the motive was the victim’s refusal to repatriate him to Saudi. That seems to be the main direction of the investigation at this point.

Without discounting the Saudi connection, my first thought when I heard was that it sounded kinda biker style. This seems more like a criminal hit than an international terrorist attack.

This seems more like a criminal hit than an international terrorist attackThe reason I shy away from that theory is that this guy was just a (very) high level bureaucrat. Decisions about prisoners are generally made by others. One thing he was directly involved in, however, were some painful decision about prison closings, which can have a big effect on a small town's economy.

There's a story breaking now that the driver of a car matching the description of one seen outside the victim's house (black Cadillac, Colorado plates) was involved in a high speed chase and gun battle in Texas when police tried to pull him over. He's basically on life support now and the cops aren't releasing his identity yet.

I caught this story this morning but the media is being pretty tight lipped about it.
Of course they are..remember, they have to keep on repeating the same talking point “Islam is the religion of peace..Islam is the religion of peace”

There was a murder of a pizza delivery man in Northwest Denver a few days ago. The body, however, was dumped in Golden, not far from the victim's home. This Texas shooting definitely seems tied to that crime.
But why the heck would that perp drive to Monument, find the head of Corrections in a remote subdivision and kill him?
