"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Rand Paul Amnesty Ping!

It appears that Rand Paul has gone all liberal on us where Comprehensive Immigration Reform is concerned.

My son told me that a schoolmate had the Gasdon flag flying from his truck and the school authorities made him take it down. They would not give a reason.

He did not use citizenship in his speech. He later told Hannity that these people would have to get in line behind everyone else if they wanted citizenship. This is an intentional distortion of what he said.

I am still waiting for a candidate who is favor of 100% mass deportation, let’s hold every one to the same standard.

The part about citizenship for illegals is false and has already been debunked. He never said that.

And e-verify would be an additional regulation imposed on businesses that would make them less competitive.

Another “Great White Hope” fizzles out.

Rand has it backwards.

but not expand the employment verification system, putting him at odds with members of his party.

No one should kid themselves, Rand Paul is an open borders libertarian. So, he even opposes e-verify, the most important piece of any internal immigration enforcement.

Those quibbling over the difference between a path to legal status and a path to citizenship are falling for Rand's ruse just as he intends. If such a ludicrous plan should be approved, only a few months would pass before some federal judge struck it down as being discriminatory and an unconstitutional second class status.

That's as dishonest and insulting as the constant quibbling over what is or isn't amnesty, when anything that waives the punishment prescribed by law (deportation) for a large group of people is by definition an amnesty.

Rand has joined the crowd who prefers to try and hoodwink the people over just telling the truth.

“I do not support amnesty, I support legal immigration and recognize that the country has been enriched by those who seek the freedom to make a life for themselves. However, millions of illegal immigrants are crossing our border without our knowledge and causing a clear threat to our national security. I want to work in the Senate to secure our border immediately. In addition, I support the creation of a border fence and increased border patrol capabilities.

Immigrants should meet the current requirements, which should be enforced and updated. I realize that subsidizing something creates more of it, and do not think the taxpayer should be forced to pay for welfare, medical care and other expenses for illegal immigrants. Once the subsidies for illegal immigration are removed, the problem will likely become far less common.

I support local solutions to illegal immigration as protected by the 10th amendment. I support making English the official language of all documents and contracts.

Millions crossing our border without our knowledge constitutes a clear threat to our nation’s security. Instead of closing military bases at home and renting space in Europe, I am open to the construction of bases to protect our border.”

Directly from his Senatorial web page rather than the Huffington Post. Waht next? New York Times editorial page?

Your PDS is going to give you an ulcer.

Thanks with keeping on this issue re: Rand.

I think there’s a real risk of Congress moving on it this spring, and thus making 2016 too late for stopping it, but this is absolutely critical to our future, including our future elections.

It’s good for Rand to be exposed on it early and often, before he gets any real momentum with Freepers.

(BTW, I’m fine with Rand’s voice as a Senator, just as long as we have enough Senators and Representatives to override his vote on this..)

The ‘Pathway to Citizenship’ has been defined and is practiced for immigrants from every part of the world, except for the felonous illegals who sneak across the porous border with Mexico.

That Pathway, begins in the home country, with a request to be allowed to immigrate. Why in hell do we have to make exceptions for those coming in from the south? Send ‘em all home and make them get in line on THEIR side of the border!

E-Verify makes indvidual business owners do the work the Federal government is supposed to be doing. We pay taxes to them to do it, but, they refuse to enforce their own laws, but then, I'm supposed to ?

The whole I-9/Everify thing is not working like it was hoped- it has a high rate of false reporting (because there are so many fake ids out there), and, if you get one, you aren't allowed to actually do anything about it.

Read the I-9 form if you don't believe me.

While practicalities require we allow these people to have some type of legal status, we would make a GRAVE MISTAKE to allow them to ever have the right to vote.

THE LIBERAL MEDIA IS TRYING TO DRIVE CORE SUPPORT AWAY FROM RAND PAUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BECAUSE THEY ARE LYING ABOYUT WHAT PAUL HAS SAID ABOUT THIS AND THEY KNOW IT!!!

RAND PAUL HAS SAID THAT BEFORE ANYONE DISCUSSES ANY SORT OF AMNESTY THAT THE BORDER MUST BE SECURED. RAND HAS SAID THAT REPUBLICANS HAVE BEEN SNOOKERED IN THE PAST AND HE WILL NOT FALL FOR THE SAME CRAP AGAIN IE. THE REAGAN AMNESTY THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO SECURE THE BORDER BUT IT WAS NOT.

RAND HAS SAID “TRUST, BUT VERIFY”.

Sorry for the caps, but this looks to be a liberal PSY-Op to drive the core conservative people away from Rand Paul because the media is scared shiftless over Rand Paul.
