Terry’s comment that slaves should have been ‘grateful for the food and shelter’ (paraphrased) sounds a lot like modern dems who promise all sorts of goodies in exchange for liberty. Instead of working crops, they just expect working the voting booth.
Jesse Jackson said he was grateful his ancestors were slaves. Otherwise he’d be in Africa.
